“May kakaibang kilig talaga ang tambalan nila as Marimar and Sergio,” says “Marimar” director Dominic Zapata. “First meeting pa lang nila, ang dami ng kinilig, pero lalo nang ikasal na sila at nag-honeymoon sila na punong-puno ng romantic scenes. Maraming nagkagusto pati roon sa dance sequence nila.”
But those who are hoping the romance between between Marimar’s lead stars will happen not only cam but also off cam might be disappointed as it’s common knowledge that Megan is said to be cozy with Mikael Daez while Tom, with Carla Abellana.
“Naku, very clear namang mas maganda ang chemistry nina Megan at Tom sa isa’t isa,” says a defender of the Megtom love team. “Walang dating sina Megan at Mikael kapag sila ang magkasama at mas matindi ang kilig kapag si Megan ang kasama ni Tom kaysa kung si Carla. At nangyari na yang hindi nagkatuluyan ang mga artista sa mga kasintahan nila before sa unang ‘Marimar’. As we all know, jowa ni Dingdong Dantes noon si Karylle at si Marianne naman, may Ervic Vijandre before. Pero nang magkasama sila sa ‘Marimar’, nabago ang lahat and, the rest, as they say, is history. Sa ngayon, hayan nga’t magkaka-baby na sina Marianne at Dingdong. So, hindi katakataka kung history will repeat itself sa kaso nina Megan at Tom sa latest version ng ‘Marimar’ dahil sila talaga ang mas bagay sa isa’t isa, off and on cam.”
This week, Jaclyn Jose as Angelica and Lauren Young as Antonia continue to hatch evil plans against Megan as Marimar. While Megan was on a horse, they threw a snake on her and she fell off the horse. But she was not badly injured and Tom as Sergio only became more sweet to her. In a fashion show, they made Megan drunk and she got so jealous she embarrassed herself. When Tom went to Manila to take care of their business, Megan was left behind and Jaclyn starts maltreating her like a housemaid. Cris Villanueva as Padre Sito tells her to leave the mansion but she says she cannot leave Tom and will wait for his return.
