THE ANGHELSERYE, “Nathaniel”, is ending on September 25 (to be replaced by Coco Martin’s “Ang Probinsyano”) and lead actor Gerald Anderson says he’s very proud to be have been part of the show. “It’s sad that it’s ending, kahit alam naman naming darating ang time na magla-last taping day kami talaga for the show,” he says. “We started airing last April so five months din kami on the air. Hindi pa rin ganap na nagsi-sink in sa’kin na matatapos na kasi ang dami pang mangyayari sa show na puro intense ang mga eksena. So huwag na huwag bibitaw ang viewers dahil talagang very exciting at maraming revelations and twists sa last week ng ‘Nathaniel’.”
He’s happy that the show, which instills good Christian values, was instrumental in helping people in need. “Just last week, we organized a Binyagang Bayan in Quezon City and 50 kids who haven’t been baptized yet, napabinyagan namin kaya nakatulong kami para maging mga Kristiyano na sila. Then tumutulong din kami sa newly born kids and their mom sa Fabella government maternity hospital kaya nakaka-inspire. For me, this show is really a big blessing for me, personally and professionally dahil hindi ka lang kami nakaka-entertain kundi nakakatulong talaga sa mga tao. Yung character ko as Paul Lacsamana, masama siya sa simula along with his mom, Coney Reyes as AVL, but nagkaroon siya ng redeeming value through faith. I also enjoyed doing the show with Shaina Magdayao, Isabelle Daza and Marco Maza who plays the title role. I also want to thank lahat ng stars na nag-guest sa amin during the course of the show, like John Lloyd Cruz, Eddie Garcia, Sam Milby, Rayver Cruz, Enchong Dee, Maxene Magalona, Mylene Dizon at marami pang iba.”
After “Nathaniel”, Gerald is doing a new movie. He’s part of Star Cinema’s new romance for the love team of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, “Everyday I Love You”. As far as his lovelife is concerned, he prefers to lie low for a while after his break up with Maja Salvador. “Pahinga muna tayo,” he says.
We ask the cast at “Nathaniel’s” farewell presscon if they really believe in the existence of angels and all of them replied that they do. As Coney Reyes says: “Angels are mentioned in the Bible. Read Psalm 91.”
And Gerald adds: “Everyday, we have experiences with angels even if we don’t see them. They guide us and protect us without our knowing it.”
