So how did she prepare for the role? “I watched a lot of vampire movies, including the ‘Twilight’ series and ‘Interview with the Vampire’ with Tom Cruise. And I had to ask the help of our director, Borgy Torre. This is just his first mainstream film but it’s easy to see his innate artistic side. He has a vision about the movie so I trusted him. The nice thing about him is we can make suggestions on how to make our performances more effective.”
How is it working with Jasmine Curtis Smith as her sister and Paulo Avelino as the cop who investigates the vampire killings in their town? “Jasmine is my little baby sister. Anne Curtis and I have been friends for a long time so kilala ko na siya even before she joined showbiz. Ngayon, nakakainggit siya, ang lakas-lakas kumain, pero hindi tumataba. As for Paulo, magkapatid kami niyan as we have the same manager, Leo Dominguez. Masarap siyang kachika about movies and I’m sure he’ll write at magdidirek din siya ng sarili niyang films balang araw.”
She stayed with ‘Eat Bulaga’ for a while. How does she feel now that Pauleen Luna is officially engaged to Vic Sotto? “I called her up right away and I said, OMG, how come you didn’t tell me? I was so excited. Sabi ko sa kanya, I will help her plan the wedding. But she said, it’s going to be a small wedding lang, so sabi ko, kahit hindi ako invited, I will attend it. I’m really so happy for her.”
So do we also hear wedding bells soon for her and BF Adrien Semblatt? “Ay no. Mauuna muna sa’kin si Solenn (Heussaff), then si Anne (Curtis) and si Liz (Uy). Mas matanda naman sila sa akin, e. So I will be the last one in our barkada.”
