She said what she went through before was not easy. “Kasi you are really judged. I heard that word so often, kabit, but dedma na lang. And dumaan din naman ako sa marriage na nagloko ang asawa ko. So, I've really looked at love from both sides now. Given the chance, siempre, pipiliin ko yung wala kang kaagaw, wala kang ka-share. Kasi, who really wants to share a man? But sometimes also, you'll realize na you have to go through those lessons to know what really matters to you. You have to make mistakes for you to know what is right and what is wrong and the consequences. I paid those consequences three times.”
She says she’s pro-divorce. “I’m a devout Catholic but I’m sorry, I don’t agree with the church’s stand on divorce. I've been through an annulment and I know how painful it is. Mahirap talaga. Mahal pa, at masakit, at kailangan mong balikan lahat ng issues na nagpasakit at nakasira sa inyong dalawa. In the end, the truth, the children pay for it because all the dirty laundry is there in the court papers for them to read.” But she believes there is still forever in love. “Kasi sa akin, kung ikakasal ka, dapat forever. May forever. May forever ang mom and dad ko, e. May forever din ang tatlong kapatid kong babae.”
Kris has been told by her doctor to stay away from stress after she nearly had a stroke due to high BP of 200/110. This is the reason why she is resigning from her nightly talk show, “Aquino and Abunda Tonight”. This coming week will be her last one in the show. Meantime, she’ll also be busy with her Metro Filmfest entry, “Pamilya Lab Lab Lab” (no longer “Mr. & Mrs. Split”), with QC Mayor Herbert Bautista and Derek Ramsay.
