AS EXPECTED, the ratings of “Marimar” went higher with 25.8% at AGB Nielsen surveys when Megan Young finally appeared last Monday in the title-role. Obviously, everyone wants to see how sexy she is really in her role as a pearl diver who’s always sporting a wet look in front of the camera. And they were not disappointed as she’s really sexiness personified. No wonder, she and the show are both trending nationwide.
Megan is so happy that she posted her appreciation in social media: “Thank you to all those who watched and supported our show from its first week of airing. Nakakataba po ng puso ang suportang natatanggap naming lahat from all of you. You guys are the best!”
Starting Monday, Megan will also be seen as one of the main hosts of “Starstruck, Season 6”. This is really a big accomplishment for her, considering that she’s not a winner in her batch, Starstruck, Season 2, but was actually one of those who were eliminated. The winners then were Ryza Cenon and LJ Reyes, but Megan has no doubted overtaken them both since she’s not only acting in “Marimar” but also hosting in the new Starstruck Artista Search.
“Malaking karangalan talaga na maging co-host ako ng isang Dingdong Dantes, ang unang Sergio sa first local remake ng ‘Marimar’ at host din namin when I joined Starstruck,” says Megan. “Nakita ko na ang contestants na kasali sa bagong season at puro sila magaganda. It's an exciting batch. Wala kang tulak kaibigin dahil puro very promising.”
In the pilot week of "Marimar", it’s established that Zoren Legaspi as Gustavo and Alice Dixson as Mia lost their baby, named Bella, after a boat accident. The baby is found by Nova Villa and Tommy Abuel who raise her and rename her as Marimar. Marimar first meets the boy Sergio on the beach crying because he was bitten by a jellyfish.
This week in “Marimar”, Marimar grows up to be the ravishing Megan who has a pet dog, Fulgoso (voice by Boobay). Megan will meet Sergio again, now played by the hunky Tom Rodriguez, and sparks quickly fly between them. Don’t fail to watch the blossoming love story of Marimar and Sergio and don’t miss the new villains who will torment Megan as Marimar.
