His pictures with KC Concepcion when they did the ASAP show in London elicited positive feedback from fans who are glad they’re again friendly to each other. “Wala naman kaming pinag-awayan ni KC,” he says. “Hindi lang talaga kami nagkikita lately, so when we had a chance to be with each other in London, nagkakuwentuhan kami. But walang balikang magaganap. She’s still out of the country at sobrang busy naman ako with a lot of things.”
How is it working with co-stars Isabelle Daza, Jasmine Curtis Smith, and their new director, Borgy Torre, in “Resureksyon” that opens in theaters on September 23? “I’ve always wanted to work with Isabelle because we have the same manager, Leo Dominguez. Si Jasmine naman, napanood ko siya in her first movie, ‘Transit’, na nanalo agad siya ng acting award. Nakaka-excite working with them. Who wouldn’t want to work with these beautiful women? As for our director, he’s young, only 29 years old, but very talented and he surely knows what he’s doing. Alam niya how to give the viewers a good scare.”
How come he was linked to Jasmine while they were shooting “Resureksyon”? “It’s unfair for me and Jasmine kasi hindi naman talaga totoo. After the shooting, kung minsan, kasama ang ibang staff, we go out for dinner. Nagbo-bonding, pero group date yun, not just the two of us. Kasama rin si Direk Borgy na gustong mag-relax after a hard day’s work on the set.”
