It will be recalled that KC made a tearful confession in the now defunct talk show, “The Buzz”, that she and Piolo and broke up. Most people sympathized with her after she made some ambiguous statements about why she wanted to quit from their relationship. Some folks quickly read between the lines and concluded that she’s casting aspersions on Piolo’s masculinity. This was four years ago. KC has since hooked up with Paulo Avelino but they have also called it quits.
As for Piolo, he has remained unattached since then. Piolo’s career took a nosedive after KC’s confessions but he has since recovered via blockbuster romantic movies like “Starting Over Again” with Toni Gonzaga and “The Break up Playlist” with Sarah Geronimo.
As for KC, it’s her career that seems to have suffered as it’s either here nor there at this point. She has not done a new movie or teleserye for over a year now. Her last soap was last year’s “Ikaw Lamang” with Kim Chiu and Coco Martin and her last movie was “Boy Golden” with ER Estregan in the Metro filmfest of 2013.Another pair of ex-lovers who are now in friendlier terms would be Jasmine Curtis Smith and Sam Concepcion. The two broke up earlier this year without any real closure and they’d refuse to talk about it each time they’re interviewed. But now, they’re working anew as theater actors in the play about millenials, “No Filter”, produced by Sandbox Productions and will run at Power Mac Black Box Theatre in Makati this coming October.
