HILLARIE DANIELLE PARUNGAO won as the new Miss World Philippines at the coronation night held at the Solaire Resort and Casino last Sunday night at the height of Typhoon Lando. It's her first time to join a national beauty pageant and the 24-year-old beauty queen from Nueva Vizcaya easily edged 25 other contestants for the crown. A ward of beauty queen impresario Jonas Gaffud, She also won the Best in Sports Challenge, Best in Fashion Runway, Best in Swimsuit and Best in Gown special awards, plus four other sponsor awards.
Last year's winner Valerie Weigmann crowned Parungao as the new Miss World Philippines. The runners up are : 1st Princess: Marita Cassandra Naidas, 2nd Princess: Mia Allyson Howell, 3rd Princess: Maria Vanessa Wright, and 4th Princess: Emma Mary Tiglao. Hillarie will represent our country in the Miss World 2015 pageant to be held in China this December. Hope she bags the title like Megan Young did.
