JENNYLYN MERCADO and Sam Milby can now heave a sigh of relief. Everyone who saw their first movie together, “The PreNup”, at its premiere night is raving about it, saying it has the makings of a big hit as it’s a bonafide feel good movie that will make you go out of the theatre feeling light and happy.
“At bagay na bagay talaga sila on screen kaya ang lakas ng kilig factor sa romantic scenes nila,” says one newshen. The movie’s director, Jun Lana, says he made sure viewers will enjoy the kissing scenes. “Kasi lahat na ng level ng halikan, ginawa rito nina Jen at Sam,” he adds. “May light and soft, may hard, very passionate, may sobrang bigay todo.”So, which among the many kissing scenes they did will be the best one for them?
“They’re all good but the most memorable for me is the first kissing scene we did,” says Sam. “This was on top of a bridge in Central Park. Maganda yung place, pero ang daming tao sa paligid. So we gave it our all. Yes! Why not? Ha ha ha!”“I agree,” says Jen. “Actually, sobrang nerbiyos ko noon kasi first time namin to kiss. E, ilang araw pa lang kaming nakakasama noon so kinabog at kinabahan talaga ako. Nakaka-stress kaya. But everything turned out well and after that, naging mas madali na yung iba pang kissing scenes na ginawa namin.”They say it’s no joke to shoot in an overcrowded city like New York. “Lalo yung sequence na kinunan sa Times Square on a Friday pa naman na sobrang dami ng tao,” says Jen. “Bale wala ang crowd control, so paulit-ulit talaga ang take hanggang sa makuha namin ang gustong makuha ni Direk.”
“The PreNup” opens nationwide in theaters today.
