Ricky Davao Is Killed In 'My Faithful Husband' To Focus On Directing Eddie Garcia, Nora Aunor And Kris Bernal In New Soap 'Little Nanay'

RICKY DAVAO will soon be killed in his current soap, "My Faitful Husband", where he plays Amado, the father of Dennis Trillo. The reason? He has started taping as the director of the new soap, "Little Nanay", formerly titled "Little Mommy" but they changed it into Nanay to give it a more local flavor. This will be a primetime show and he's excited as he will be directing Eddie Garcia and Nora Aunor for the first time in a teleserye.

"Ito na ang magiging priority ko and it's an honor to direct and dalawang top icons ng local showbiz," he says "Si Guy, nakasama ko noon as co-star sa 'Rock and Roll' ni Maryo de los Reyes> Ngayon, director na niya ako. Idagdag pa diyan na kasama rin sa cast si Bembol Roco, isa ring batikang actor, kaya ginaganahan talaga akong idirek ang show na ito. The nice thing is they're all my friends kaya I'm sure magiging madali ang pagtatrabaho namin sa 'Little Nanay'."

What can he say about Kris Bernal who is chosen to play the title role? "Mahirap ang role niya as a young woman with the intelligence of a 7-year old girl, mabubuntis, magkakaanak at ipaglalaban ang right na alagaan ang anak niya. Kaya yan ni Kris. I've seen her work before at magaling naman siya. Magtutulong kami in fleshing out her role to make sure she will be effective in her part. Magagaling din ang iba pang members ng cast na makakasama niya rito, led by Sun­shine Dizon, Mark Herras, Gladys Reyes, Juancho Trivino, at Hiro Peralta. Abangan nyo ang 'Little Nanay' dahil hahaplos ito sa inyong puso. Hindi siya sobrang dramang-drama kundi may light touch na very entertaining ang dating sa viewers."
