"Maganda yung role ko, naiiba," she says. "Hindi kasi siya yung usual na mabait na karakter kundi anti-heroine ang dating niya na mai-involve sa isang scam. I play Barbara Balayan, a cougar na magkakaroon ng younger boyfriends, toyboys, at meron daw akong sexy scenes with them."
So is she ready to do sexy scenes? "Okay lang basta huwag sobrang daring at sexy. I can do kissing scenes and show my bare back, pero hindi naman yung hubad talaga kasi hindi na rin appropriate for my age. I have two daughters na dalaga na pareho, so baka mapagalitan pa ako."
She says her role as Cedes in "My Faithful Husband" prepared her for her role as Barbara. "Kontrabida kasi si Cedes. Ako ang umaapi kay Jennylyn Mercado as Dennis' wife. But credit should go not just to me kundi sa lahat ng kasama ko, including Direk Joyce Bernal. Team effort naman yun, e. Ayan nga, dahil sa pagiging salbahe ni Cedes, nakabilanggo siya ngayon."
She admits having found a new love in her life but she doesn't want to introduce him to the press anymore. "Sa amin na lang yun, kasi private person naman siya so allow us to protect his privacy. Basta he's the one who gives me inspiration these days."
Incidentally, what does the title "Nuclear Family" mean? Here's the explanation of Director Jason Paul Laxamana: "A nuclear family or elementary family is a family group consisting of a pair of adults and their children. This is in contrast to a single-parent family, to the larger extended family, and to a family with more than two parents." Na-gets nyo ba?
