Solenn Heussaff On Doing Romantic Comedy 'Love Is Blind' With Ex-BF Derek Ramsay

SOLENN HEUSSAFF’s reunion movie with ex-BF Derek Ramsay, “Love is Blind”, is about to wrap up shooting. This is the first mainstream film of 28-year old Director Jason Paul Laxamana, who gained acclaim for indie films like “Babagwa” and “Magkakabaung”, both award-winners. This is just one of the four films Laxamana is currently directing. Another important film of his is the CineFilipino entry, “Ang Taba Ko Kasi”, starring heavyweights Ryan Yllana and Cai Cortez, introducing TV5’s Mark Neumann in his first full length theatrical film. He’s also directing “Nuclear Family” for BG Productions and “Mercury is Mine” for Cinemalaya.

Going back to Solenn, how does is it feel working with an ex like Derek? “We’re both still not in showbiz nang maging kami about nine years ago,” she says. “We didn’t feel awkward naman. We talked a lot and everything is just normal, natural. He was once part of my life and I was part of his, but I’m happy we’re able to reconnect with each other now that we’re both mature adults.”

Nothing has been rekindled between them as everyone knows she’s now officially engaged to her Argentinian boyfriend, Nico Bolzico, while Derek is in a relationship with a single mom and model, Joanne Villablanca. Didn’t Nico get jealous at all since she has romantic scenes with Derek?
    “No, he’s fine. I told him about it before I did the movie and okay lang sa kanya. I’ve done so many love   scenes in movies with other actors, so it’s not any different. He’s supportive.”

“Love is Blind” also stars real life lovebirds Chynna Ortaleza and Kean Cipriano, plus Kiray Celis and Maureen Larrazabal.
