AFTER NIKKI GIL’s failed romance with two showbiz guys, Gab Valenciano and Billy Crawford, she gets to tie the knot with a non-showbiz businessman, BJ (full name is Francis Benjamin Jerome) Albert, a nephew of singer Joey Albert. They walked down the aisle in a sunset garden wedding at Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club at Sta. Rosa, Laguna last Saturday, with only family members and very close friends attending the ceremony. Gab himself is now married to Tricia Centenera (and there are early reports, which we hope aren’t true, that they’re currently going through some rough patches) while Billy is on with Coleen Garcia.
Among showbiz friends who attended Nikki’s nuptials were Luis Manzano, Sam Milby, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos, Robi Domingo, Iya Villania (who was matron of honor) and husband Drew Arellano, and also newlyweds John Prats and Isabel Oli (now infanticipating). Showbiz ninongs are singers Jose Mari Chan, Nikki’s manager Arnold Vegafria and the dad of her ex-BF, Gary Valenciano. Among the bridesmaids were Shaina Magdayao and Djanin Cruz. BJ proposed marriage to Nikki (full name is Monica Pauline), who turned 28 on August 23, in December of last year.
