“Yes, may pressure talaga,” says Janella. “Unang-una, first movie namin ito, tapos pang-filmfest pa na ang bibigat ng mga kasabay namin, so we’re all praying na sana magustuhan ito ng viewers. We all did our best to make sure maganda ang movie, and we want to thank our director, Jun Lana, for being so patient with us. Alam niyang newcomers kami so he really helped us and we learned so much from him. Mabait siya, hindi nagtataray. He taught us discipline at nag-enjoy kami working with him.”
“May pressure kasi ito raw ang kapalit ng ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll’ series na laging entry ng Regal kung Pasko,” says Jerome, who’s the son of former Viva actor, Jessie Delgado. “We know people are expecting a lot from this movie and we’re just so happy that Regal supported us all the way. Ang laki ng gastos nila rito.”
Mother Lily adds at this point. “Yung usual budget namin for ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll’ with three episodes, inilagay namin dito,” she says. “Lahat ng hiningi ni Direk Jun Lana, we gave him. The production design is very expensive. Yung lumang bahay where the film was shot on location, mas pinaluma pa. Tapos, for the flashback scenes na nangyari in the 1950s, ginawa namang bago pa yung bahay. Naghukay pa sila rito ng hole as big as a swimming pool for one scene, na ginamit lang for about two minutes on screen. The costumes, the effects, ginastusan namin lahat. I can say we have the biggest budget among the horror entries sa filmfest.”
