Hiro Peralta Gets Biggest Break As Kris Bernal's Leading Man In 'Little Nanay'

HIRO PERALTA gets the biggest and most challenging break in his career as the leading man of title-roler Kris Bernal in GMA-7's new soap, "Little Nanay", now being seen on the air after "Marimar". "I was surprised kasi after playing a supporting role as Kuya Dingdong Dantes' younger brother who's a closet gay in 'Pari Koy', hindi ko akalain na ganito kalaking role ang next na ibibigay sa akin ng GMA and I'm so very grateful for that," he says. "This will definitely give my career a very big boost."

He also feels lucky that playing his parents in the new soap are Gladys Reyes and Keempee de Leon. "Pareho silang magaling and very helpful kaya naga-guide nila ako in our scenes together," he adds.

So how is it working with Kris Bernal? "Ako yung makakabuntis sa kanya rito kahit mentally challenged siya at meron kaming romantic scenes. We had to take acting workshops para mawala yung inhibitions namin sa isa't isa. Nagkakasabay kaming maging guests before in some shows, but this is the first time I'm acting with her in a regular teleserye. Napakabait niya at very supportive kasi alam niyang first lead role ko ito. Sa first kissing scene namin, sobrang kabado ako, pero siya pa ang nagpalakas ng loob at wag daw akong mahiya. Sabi pa niya, huwag kang kabahan, kaya mo yan, kaya naman nagawa namin nang maayos. Thankful din akong matiyaga sa akin si Direk Ricky Davao at tinututukan niya talaga ako para masiguradong I will deliver."


He says he's been loveless for sometime after he broke up with his non-showbiz girlfriend some months ago. Kris herself says she's unattached and it's not true she's on with Lucho Ayala. What if they developed feelings for each other? "Naku, crush ko talaga si Kris kahit noon pa. Pero ayokong isipin niya na nagsasamantala ako or taking advantage dahil magkapareha kami ngayong dalawa. Trabaho muna ang focus namin to make sure maging maganda sa viewers ang 'Little Nanay'."
