John Lloyd Cruz On Why His Love Team With Bea Alonzo Clicks Even If They Have Never Been Linked To Each Other Off Cam

JOHN LLOYD CRUZ was asked at the presscon of “A Second Chance” why his love team with Bea Alonzo is so successful when they were never really linked to each other? “Yun ang magic ng pagkakaroon ng isang Cathy Garcia Molina, who directed us sa first movie pa lang naming ‘Close to You’ and then sa ‘One More Chance’ and ‘Miss You Like Crazy’ and now, dito nga sa ‘Second Chance’,” he says. “Siya talaga ang reason kung bakit tinanggap ng mga tao ang mga pelikula namin at ang love team namin ni Bea. And it’s always a pleasure to work with Bea. May materials na kaya ko lang gawin kapag siya ang kapareha ko. Mahaba na ang history ng pinagsamahan namin and so it’s always easy to work with her. Itong ‘Second Chance’ na ang masasabi kong the best sa mga pinagsamahan naming pelikula.”

He’s likewise really the signature actor of Direk Cathy, with whom he has done more movies than with Bea. Aside from the aforementioned movies with Bea, Cathy also directed him in the Sarah Geronimo trilogy “A Very Special Love”, “You Changed My Love” and “It Takes a Man and a Woman”, with Angel Locsin in “My Amnesia Girl” and “Unofficially Yours” and with Toni Gonzaga in “My Only You”. “At home na talaga ako kay Direk Cathy. She knows me very well kaya very comfortable na ako sa kanya after all these years of working with her.”
