“Very challenging, kaysa noong gay pa lang ako as Joey,” he says. “Dito kasi, dapat babae talaga ako sa movements ko, sa pagsasalita, sa lahat. Physically, may glam team ako to help transform me sa hair, makeup, stylings ko and I even have an acting coach. Pero malaking tulong din ang co-stars ko, like Katrina Halili and Michael de Mesa na tinuturuan ako ng wastong pagkilos bilang babae. Si Tito Mike de Mesa is one the best actors who can play gay roles convincingly at sinasabi niya kung kulang pa o sobra ang acting ko.”
He felt so relieved when reaction on social media about his transformation turned out to be very positive. “Takot na takot ako noon kung paano ako tatanggapin but now, everyday, lagi kaming trending at lahat ng feedback, comments, natutuwa sila. May gusto ngang manligaw sa akin, meron pang nag-marriage proposal. May nagsabing straight siya at hindi niya akalaing kaya pala niyang magkaroon ng feelings for a transwoman like Destiny Rose. Marami ring natutuwa kasi palaban na ako, unlike before as Joey na api-apihan ako ng lahat. This time, abangan nyo, may sampalan kami ni Katrina Halili. Hindi na ako paaapi sa kanya.”
How’s his non-showbiz girlfriend? “Break na po kami. Kasi na-realize ko kapag nagtititigan kami ni Fabio Ide kung anong real identity ko.”
Everyone in front of Ken was stunned, speechless. Then he blurts out: “Joke lang. Kami pa rin po. Straight pa rin ako at babae pa rin ang mas gusto ko.”
