Sen. Chiz Escudero Proud To Be The Only Presidential Candidate 'Na May Puso'

WHAT CAN HEART EVANGELISTA say to the statement of husband Sen. Chiz Escudero that he is the only one among the VP candidates “na totoo at siguradong may puso”? “Natawa nga ako roon, but in a way, it’s true, di ba?” she says. “He’s the only who’s married to someone whose name meant Puso in Tagalog.”

Heart accompanied Sen. Chiz when he recently went to Ilocos Norte, the territory of his VP opponent Bongbong Marcos, to condole with Rep. Rudy Farinas whose son JR perished in a motorcycle accident. They were interviewed in some local radio stations while they were there and Heart said she’s very happy to visit Ilocos once again as she shot the film “Temptation Island” and the fantaserye “Ang Panday” on the famous sand dunes there.

“I have good memories of my stay here, the people are so nice and friendly, so Ilocos will always have a special place in my heart,” she says.


Now that her primetime soap on GMA-7, “Beautiful Strangers”, is about to end soon, Heart will have more time go around with her husband while Sen. Chiz campaigns all over the country for the coming election. “Parang bonding time na rin namin together ang magiging pagsama-sama ko sa kanya sa iba’t ibang lugar para mangampanya and win more voters for his bid sa vice presidency,” she adds.

Would she know how "Beautiful Strangers" end? "Not yet kasi we haven't taped its conclusion. All I can say is huwag kayong bibitaw kasi each episode this coming week will be very exciting. As Lovi Poe and I join forces to bring down Dina Bonnevie as Alejandra, she has her own counter moves that will put our lives at great risk kasi she has ordered her henchmen to kill us.
