Three Filipino Talents Figure Prominently In Talent Competitions In United Kingdom, Australia & The U.S.A.

EL GAMMA PENUMBRA, the shadow play group that won the grand prize in Asia’s Got Talent, impressed the foreign delegates of the recent APEC summit with their performance, showing Filipinos are really a world class talent. Now, Filipinos are once again displaying their talent in two “X Factor” shows.

At “X-Factor UK”, the four sisters comprising the singing group called 4th Impact are now in the Top 7 after wowing the four judges led by Simon Cowell. They are previously known as Cercado Sisters from Santiago, Isabela. Their names are Mylene, Irene, Almira and Celina Cercado. They have previously won in “Talentadong Pinoy” of TV5 and also joined a singing contest in Korea called “Superstar K6”.

Meantime, down under, Fil-Australian singer Cyrus Villanueva, 19 years old, made it to the top 3 of “X Factor Australia, Season 7”. It will be recalled that last year, a Pinay won in Season 6, Marlisa Punzalan. Cyrus will be competing in the finals this Tuesday with Louise Adams and the group artists Jess and Matt. In the U.S.A., another Pinay, Amy Vachal, is impressing judges in “The Voice” and is now included in the Final 12.

Let’s all pray for the success of these talented artists so they may bring more honor and recognition to our country.
