Gov. Vilma Santos Invites The Public To Visit Batangas During Their Weeklong Ala Eh Festival

BATANGAS GOV. Vilma Santos-Recto started the annual Ala Eh! Festival on December 1 at Santo Tomas to celebrate the 434th Founding Anniversary of their province. The week-long celebration started with a Fun Run and a Eucharistic Celebration, followed by the opening of their trade fair, agri fair, photo contest and exhibit, lantern parade, street party and music festival at Globe night.

A drum and lyre competition will be held on December 3, along with the LGU (Local Government Unit) night. On December 4, the have TM Astig Bingo and the grand coronation night of Mutya ng Batangas on December 5 and a downhill race competition on December 6. The biggest night will be on December 7 with the grand finals of VSR (Voices, Songs & Rhythms), a song contest with representative from various Batangas towns. Big name singers and performers are invited to be part of this big night. On December 8, feast of the Immaculate Conception, there will be a mass, festival dance competition and awarding an closing ceremonies.


This will be a grand festival as its the last year of Ate Vi as governor. She’s working with Sto. Tomas Mayor Edna Sanchez. “Ay mamiyesta na kayo dine sa’min sa Batangas! All here. So near!” says Gov. Vi as she invites everyone to visit them during the Ala Eh Festival.
