She’s so happy that the feedback from those who saw the trailer of her Metro filmfest entry, “Haunted Mansion”, is very positive. “Lahat sila, nagsasabing it’s scary raw, marami raw nakakagulat na scenes. Sabi nung iba, mas maganda pa raw ito kaysa sa ‘Shake Rattle & Roll’ movies ng Regal before. So siempre, natutuwa naman kami ng co-stars kong sina Marlo Mortel and Jerome Ponce as it’s a good sign that those who enjoy watching scary movies will love it. Sana kami ang unahin nilang panoorin sa Pasko.”
Won’t the fact that ABS-CBN is pairing her with Elmo Magalona in her next soap adversely affect her team up with Marlo Mortel and Jerome Ponce in “Haunted Mansion”? “I don’t think so. Kasi next year pa yung amin ni Elmo. E itong movie, ipalalabas na sa December 25. At saka, marami talagang nag-aabang na makagawa kami nina Marlo and Jerome ng movie. O, heto na nga yun.”
Mother Lily Monteverde sees a lot of potential in Janella. “She not only registers well on the big screen but also acts so well,” says the Regal matriarch. “Nagulat kami ng daughter kong si Roselle when we watched the movie. Magaling siya as the lead actress who got possessed by evil spirits kasi may third eye siya. We’re thankful we gave her the big break in this movie. After ‘Haunted Mansion’ is shown, I’m sure she’ll be a bigger star.”
