Valerie Concepcion Wanted To Leave Showbiz & Be A Flight Attendant

VALERIE CONCEPCION says there was a point in her life that she wanted to leave showbiz and live a normal life. “Nag-apply akong flight attendant sa PAL last July at matatanggap na sana ako, kaya lang, may tattoo ako sa arm and they said ipabura ko muna,” she says. “A friend naman told me, give showbiz one last push bago ka mag-flight attendant. Mag-change daw ako ng manager, so I did. Si Arnold Vegafria na ang manager ko ngayon at heto nga, dumating itong offer to do ‘Because of You’ as the wife of Gabby Concepion, so tinanggap ko na. Pareho kaming Concepcion at chance ko na to work with him kahit hindi naman kami magkamag-anak.”

We thought she has found a new boyfriend and are about to face the altar. “Ay, hindi po.”
How about that lawyer from the Bureau of Immigration who she admitted she’s dating? “We’re still going out.”

Is it true the guy is married? “His marriage has been annulled. He gave me a copy of his annulment papers. At hindi pa naman talagang kami. We’re just dating pa lang at mas gusto ko ng long dating period. Kasi yung last one, a doctor, one and a half years kaming nag-date, then noong naging officially on kami, inabot lang nang 9 months. E ngayon, one year na kaming nagde-date, so tingnan natin.”
Can she feel that the lawyer is her Mr. Right? “Sana naman po. Gusto ko na ring magpakasal. Ang tagal ko nang naghihintay. So let’s see kung magiging talagang kami na nga.”

“Because of You” starts airing tonight after “Little Nanay” and Valerie says viewers will hate her again in this show. “Wife ako ni Gabby rito, pero iiwanan ko siya at sasama ako kay Carlo Gonzales. But when I learn na nagkakamabutihan sila ni Carla Abellana, babalik ako kasi kahit wala na ako, I don’t want to share Gabby with anyone at kakalabanin ko si Carla rito.”
