VIC SOTTO seems so relaxed when there are many things that should make him quite nervous. He has an entry in the MMF, “My Bebe Love”, and it’s up against a lot of formidable rivals at the box office. His wedding to Pauleen Luna is just about a month from now. His son with Coney Reyes, Vico (who looks so much like him), is running for public office in the next elections. But he maintains an aura of being so cool and unruffled.
Last weekend, Vic showed up in Eat Bulaga’s blockbuster Kalyeserye as Dodong Smash, the long lost father of Yaya Dub/Maine Mendoza, He’s also called Daddy Dods. He came on board an expensive car in hip hop attire. Yaya Dub cannot believe that he is her dad and fainted.
Vic said he was able to get rich through his own “isaw” business that now have 150 branches nationwide. When Vic and YayaDub danced together, people quickly noticed that they have the same identical moves. Also when they did some dubsmash together, proving they’re indeed father and daughter.
Vic as Daddy Dods asked forgiveness from Yaya Dub, who told him: "Matagal ko naman na po kayong napatawad Tay, e. Nagpapasalamat din po ako sa inyo kasi kayo po ang nagbigay ng buhay sa akin."
He later interviewed Alden Richards, who admitted to him that he loves Yaya Dub. Vic then tells his daughter: "Anak, huwag mo munang sagutin 'yan, ha? Huwag kang maging mapusok katulad ng nangyari sa amin ng nanay mo. Hindi pa kami handa noon kaya kami pinaghiwalay ni Senyora Nidora dahil away kami nang away. Kaya naging basagulero ako."
Yaya Dub replied: "Huwag po kayong mag-alala, Tay. Maghihintay pa po siya nang matagal na panahon bago ko ibigay sa kanya ang matamis kong oo."
Vic offered to help Lola Nidora financially so they can get back the mansion that is now with Alden’s Lola Baba (Ai Ai de las Alas), who then appeared to say the mansion is for sale for P200 million. The Kalyeserye suddenly gains a new dimension as it seems Lola Baba has gotten attracted to Daddy Dods. No doubt this will help the promo of their “My Bebe Love” movie that opens in theaters. on Christmas Day.
