Of course, there’s no doubt that Gabby deserves his leading man status as he was able to preserve his youthful heartthrob good looks and he is not “alangan” to be paired even with a younger leading lady like Carla Abellana, who’s even younger than his eldest daughter KC. He has managed to keep his trim physique and there are no lines and creases on his face that are now evident on some of his contemporaries. Gabby says he has no secret except using moisturizers, drinking a lot of water and working out whenever he has the time.
This week in “Because of You”, Gabby as Jaime asks the forgiveness of Carla as Andrea after he belittled her sketches, not knowing that Carla’s work was sabotaged by the jealous Bettina Carlos as Patricia. They reconcile but it’s the turn of the girlfriend of Rafael Rosell as Oliver to get jealous. Carla tells ex-BF Rafael never to see her again but he implores her to give him another chance. Gabby and Carla go to an out of town trip to meet a tribe of weavers. The people there think they are a married couple. Together, they see a meteor shower and Carla feels so romantic. She realizes that she is now in love with Gabby but she tries to fight her feelings back because she knows he’s still a married man. Meantime, Rafael in Manila desperately wants to follow Carla and asks her friend Iya Villania about the whereabouts of Carla and Gabby.
