But before that starts in February, he will first be seen on GMA-7 playing the role of Atty. Castaneda, the lawyer hired by Gladys Reyes and Keempee de Leon in the child custody case they filed to get their grandchild, Chlaui Malayao, who’s the daughter of their son, Hiro Peralta, with the intellectually challenged Tinay, played competently by Kris Bernal. In the fight for the child’s custody, Boyet will be fighting in court against ex-wife Nora Aunor, who plays Tinay’s groovy but protective lola.
Kris Bernal is so honored to be acting with these two icons of local cinema. “Dream come true na sa’king makasama si Ate Guy,” she says. “Tapos ngayon, may Kuya Boyet pa. Somehow, nakakakilig pa rin kapag kaeksena ko sila. Papa pa rin ang tawag niy Ate Guy kay Kuya Boyet.”
Kris also got a pleasant surprise gift from a loyal fan who came from abroad and gave her a special portrait of hers made artfully through cross stitch. “Grabe! Nagulat ako dahil painstaking work yung gumawa ng litrato through cross stitch pero pinagtiyagaan talaga niya,” Kris gushes. “It’s really one of the best personalized gifts I’ve ever received in my entire life.”
Kris is hoping Christopher de Leon will stay in their show for good but Boyet will be seen in “Little Nanay” only during the month of January after which he moves to TV5 for “Ang Panday”.
