Aside from ‘Lakbay2Love’ that’s showing on February 3, I have finished another movie, ‘Love is Blind’ with Derek Ramsay to be shown on February 10. May pre-Valentine concert pa ako with Lovi Poe, ‘Fantaesie’, at Music Museum on February 6. I’m also doing a new album to be released by the middle of this year. And I have my regular shows on GMA like ‘Taste Buddies’, so I will just go on working.”
In “Lakbay2Love”, she plays Liane, a videographer who had a devastating breakup with her longtime boyfriend, Macky (played by newcomer Kit Thompson), who went abroad. She then meets Dennis Trillo as Jay-R, a forest protector and biker at La Mesa Ecopark, who introduces her to the world of biking and orients her about the harmful effects of climate change to Mother Nature. The movie is produced by Erasto Films, written and directed by Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil, best known for the award-winning movie about a violin protege who is a victim of child abuse, “Boses”.
“I enjoyed doing the movie with Direk Ellen,” says Solenn. “I learned so much while doing this movie, not only about biking but also about how we can help protect our environment. I had so much fun while shooting it. One time, we were in the forest then it rained hard, so siksikan kami lahat sa loob tent while eating ice cream. Super fun!”
