BENJIE PARAS is very proud of his two sons, Andre and Kobe Paras, for being such responsible young men.
What can he say now that the younger Kobe has a girlfriend, a Fil-Am girl named Gabrielle Current?
“I’ve met the girl kasi nag-try siyang maging singer dito sa atin pero hindi lang marunong mag-Tagalog. Nagka-girlfriend na siya before so she’s not his first. Basta sabi ko, if ever they’d fall in love, they should know their priorities at gawin nilang inspirasyon sa buhay at sa career nila yung girl. Now, kung the relationship won’t work out, maging matibay lang sila. Kobe’s graduating from high school this year but he doesn’t know yet what he’ll take up in college. I told him the reason he’s in the States is to have a good college degree and play basketball well. Alam naman daw niya yun.”
After “Wang Fam”, Benjie now stars with Candy Pangilinan in the action-comedy episode of “Lumayo Ka Nga sa Akin”.
Benjie is asked if he’d tell their movie’s title to ex-wife Jackie Forster, to whom their sons are cold up to now.
“Wala akong pagsasabihan ng ganun,” he says. “Basta good vibes lang tayo lagi.”
As for Candy P, she’s very vocal that she would blurt out the title to her ex-husband who abandoned her and their child: “Lumayo ka nga sa akin!”
