ZANJOE MARUDO admitted that he and Bea Alonzo have broken up so various speculations are cropping up. One theory says it’s because Bea has now found comfort in the arms of her perennial partner, John Lloyd Cruz, even off cam, and this is the reason why JLC has now also called it quits with Angelica Panganiban. Another reason drags the name of Karel Marquez into the picture. Karel is separated from her Chinese husband with whom she has two kids.
Someone says Bea confided to a friend that their relationship started getting sour while she was shooting the movie “Love Affair” with Richard Gomez last year. By the time the movie was shown, they’ve already split up but Zanjoe was trying his best to save it.
At the presscon of Zanjoe’s newest soap, “Tubig at Langis”, the press people were warned not to ask him anything about his private life and right after the Q&A, the stars were all quickly whisked away and there was no time for a one-on-one interview. So the issues that needed to be cleared up remain muddled up to now. But Zanjoe obviously wants to reconcile with Bea. When asked if he believes in a second chance, this is what he replied.
“Naniniwala ako sa second chance, third chance, fourth chance,” he said. “Lahat naman ng tao kailangan ng chance, ng pangalawa o kahit ilan pang pagkakataon.”
In “Tubig at Langis”, Zanjoe plays Natoy, a man who marries his childhood sweetheart, Cristine Reyes as Irene, even if she’s an unwed mother. But later, he’ll meet Isabelle Daza as Clara and they will have an affair. “Tubig at Langis” starts airing on February 1 in ABS-CBN’s afternoon block.
