“Noong unang i-offer sa’kin ang role, sabi ko, ang hirap, baka hindi ko makaya kasi ang behavior ko, para akong aso,” she says. “But I took it as a challenge to my being an actress and now, kahit nahihirapan ako, I’m really enjoying it. I play Ana Medrano, anak ako ni Angelika de la Cruz at ni Raymart Santiago.
Kinidnap ako ni Ana Feleo as a child bilang paghihiganti dahil, feeling niya, inagaw ako ng mom ko from Raymart with whom she’s obsessed. Ikinulong niya akong mag-isa sa isang madilim na kuwarto. Nang lumaki ako, makakalabas ako at mami-meet ko sa gubat si Derrick Monasterio na siyang tutulong sa akin.”
Does she now have a new boyfriend after breaking up with Jake Vargas a year ago? “Wala po. Focus na muna ako sa role ko rito as it needs full concentration and attention.”
She’s paired with Derrick but he’s said to be courting Maine Mendoza. How does she feel about this? “I’m glad to work with him kasi, ever since, he’s one of my best friends in showbiz noong Tween Hearts day pa namin. Also, along with Kristoffer Martin, sabay-sabay kaming nagwo-workout sa gym and do muay thai. Yung tsismis sa kanila ni Maine, hindi ko tinatanong kasi kusa naman siyang nagkukuwento sa akin and wala siyang mine-mention about that.”
Also in the show that will replace “Buena Familia” in GMA’s Afternoon Prime are Kim Rodriguez as Derrick’s socialite girlfriend, Rita Avila as Derrick’s mom, Ramon Christopher as his dad, Luz Valdez as Ina’s aunt who knows her secrets, Shyr Valdez as the sister of Angelika, Jak Roberto as Derrick’s best friend and Marco Alcaraz as the confidante of Raymart, under the direction of Laurice Guillen.
