Heart Evangelista Celebrates Birthday And First Wedding Anniversary With Sen. Chiz Escudero In Sorsogon This Weekend

IT’S THE BIRTHDAY of Heart Evangelista tomorrow, Happy Valentine’s Day, and also the first anniversary of her wedding to Sen. Chiz Escudero. “Time out muna ako sa kampanya,” says Sen. Chiz who’s the number one presidential candidate in the surveys. “Kahit one year na kami, feeling bagong kasal pa rin ako. We’ll spend our anniversary and Valentine sa Sorsogon, my home province. We’ll be there this weekend then on Monday, hahabol ako sa kampanya ng Partido Galing at Puso namin ni Sen. Grace Poe sa Ifugao Province.”

What can he say about his wife Heart’s new career as a painter? “I’m encouraging her to cultivate it kasi nga napakagaling niya. Kahit nasa Sorsogon kami, dala niya ang kanyang painting materials para tuloy-tuloy lang ang kanyang pagpipinta.”


Heart says no matter how busy she is in helping Sen. Chiz in his campaign, she continues to paint. “I will continue talaga. Lifelong career na ito. Kung meron akong isang dedication is I will really paint until tumanda ako. Matitigil na lahat ng pag-aartista, pero magpe-paint pa rin ako. Yun ang goal ko, kaya kahit busy ako, tuloy pa rin ang pagpe-paint.”

Heart just had a successful art exhibit at Ayala Museum, then partnered with Mark Bumgarner for his handpainted gowns and she’s now designing clutch bags. “Soon, I will be launching my line of clutch bags. Abangan nyo.”
