“It’s actually my husband (Sen. Chiz Escudero) who’s number one in motivating me to take formal art classes,” she says. “Noon pa niya ako pinupukpok to enrol, kaya lang sa sobrang busy ko these days, na-delay nang na-delay ang pagbabalik eskwela ko. I’ve already talked to the Fine Arts people, pero sabi nila nage-exhibit na raw ako, so baka it will just hold me from doing my studies kasi it will take so much of my time at lalong di ako makapag-exhibit kasi kailangan mag-attend ako ng classes, mage-essay ka, mag-study ka.”
Sen. Chiz is currently very busy with his vice presidential campaign, but he always finds time to spend with his wife. “Very supportive siya sa akin at sa mga trabaho ko, sa pagpe-paint ko. Mahilig siyang bumili ng canvas tapos ipapagawa nya sa’kin. Actually, siya yung mga nakakaisip ng mga ibang ideas na pwede kong gawin as an artist.”
Heart figured in a freak accident recently when a cat she was coddling bit her when it got scared of her dogs. She was brought to St. Luke’s and ended up spending P50,000. “Iyak nga ako ng iyak,” she says. “Not because of the money kundi masakit kasi yung sugat and I had to have five injections no less, for anti-rabies daw at anti-tetanus.”
