THERE WERE many stars present at the launch of the album “One Heart” of GMA Records but it’s Julian Trono who was interviewed the most and figured in a lot of publicity simply because he is involved in a hot issue. It’s said he and Kylie Padilla (they play brother and sister in the hit afternoon soap, “Buena Familia”), are in a relationship even if he’s only 18 and Kylie is 23. It’s also bruited about that they were caught in the act while kissing inside the dressing room.
“Hindi po kami ni Kylie,” he says without batting an eyelash. “Kung sinuman yung nagsabing nakita kaming naghahalikan, sige, maglabas sila ng pruweba. Hindi ko nga alam kung bakit may ganyang tsismis kasi hindi naman ako nanliligaw. But yes, sobrang close kami. Kasi ate ko siya sa ‘Buena Familia’, kaya lagi kaming nagkikita. We talk about our passions, she’s into writing, I’m into film making so nagkakasundo kami. E, you know how people are in showbiz, kapag laging magkadikit kayo, binibigyan na agad ng ibang kahulugan. Uy, may ginagawa na sila. Kung totoong kami, aamin naman ako. E, hindi nga.”
Mel Tiangco was present at the album launch since the proceeds from the “One Heart” charity album will go to her Kapuso Foundation, specifically for sick children. The carrier single is an inspirational ballad, “Sa Puso Mo” written and arranged by Korean composer Kim Hyun Jik where all the other celebrities-singers involved in the album sang. This includes Glaiza de Castro, Yasmien Kurdi, Derrick Monasterio, Kristoffer Martin, Ruru Madrid, Gabbi Garcia, Betong Sumaya, Maricris Garcia, Rita Daniela, James Wright, Nar Cabico and others. Kylie Padilla is also a singer in the album but she didn't attend the presscon to evade the issue about her and Julian. The album is now available on iTunes at $129 per song and in all record bars nationwide at P699 per CD.
