Regine Tolentino Hints That She Has Separated Again From Husband Lander Vera Perez

REGINE TOLENTINO was a balikbayan from the States when she tried joining local showbiz in the mid-90s. She did action films with top action stars and also did hosting on TV, until she met Lander Vera Perez and they got married. They had two daughters. Since she’s a professional dancer, she became the dancing diva of GMA-7’s morning show “Unang Hirit”, released her own dance video called “Sensual Dancing”, and also put up her own dance studio. She became one of the judges on TV5’s “Keep on Dancing”.

She also put up her own clothing line. She’d still act every now and then, in soaps like “Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita” and “Be Careful with My Heart” where she played a wedding planner. She’s now back on TV5 in Viva’s new TV remake of “Ang Panday”, where she plays the powerful witch who finds her nemesis in Richard Gutierrez as Flavio, Ang Panday.

“It’s my first time to play this kind of role, kontrabidang witch, so I’m very excited,” she says. “At least, hindi ako dancing witch dito. Hindi ako magsasayaw at all, instead, I get to channel my bad side.”

Her husband Lander is also making a comeback. He was last seen as villain to John Lloyd Cruz in “Honor Thy Father”. They separated once but got together again. Is it true they have called it quits once more?

“Naku, all I can say is I’m very happy with our two children who are both doing well in school. Yung eldest will soon go to college at the Ateneo. Kung anuman yung mga pinagdaanan at nangyaring hindi maganda, tapos na yun, iniwan na sa 2015. New year na kaya hindi na welcome sa 2016. Move on na lang tayo lalo’t may magagandang opportunities na dumarating sa akin, like this witch role in ‘Ang Panday’. I promise to do my best to be an effective witch. Yun na lang.”
