Singer Nyoy Volante Weds Theatre Actress Mikkie Bradshaw At The Manila Cathedral

SINGER NYOY VOLANTE (full name is Nino del Mar Volante) and theatre actress Mikkie Bradshaw (full name is Michaela Cristina Rivera Bradshaw) exchanged I do’s last Wednesday, February 24, at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, with wedding reception later at the Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in Taguig. They met while appearing together in the musical “Rock of Ages” for Atlantis Productions two years ago and they’ve been officially on since July, 2014.

Nyoy is a successful pop acoustic singer who forayed successfully into theatre, getting raves for his role as Uznavi in “In the Heights” and as the Donkey in “Shrek, the Musical”. Mikkie is the eldest of five kids raised in Butuan City where her father, Todd Bradshaw, is a missionary and pastor. She tried her luck in Manila and did plays like “Nine”, “Aladdin”, “Rock of Ages” and “Carrie” where she played the title role. She has a daughter from a previous relationship.

Among their guests are Vina Morales (who appeared with them in “Rock of Ages”), theatre stars Jett Pangan and Carla Laforteza, and Nyoy’s co-contestants in “Your Face Sounds Familiar” like Jay-R (also one of the groomsmen), Edgar Allan Guzman, and Karla Estrada who came with Rommel Padilla (dad of her son Daniel).
