LOVI POE is busy helping her Ate Grace Poe in her presidential campaign and also Sen. Chiz Escudero, the husband of her best friend Heart Evangelista, whose running as Sen. Grace’s vice president. But for this weekend, she takes time off from campaigning to appear in two toprating GMA-7 shows: “Lip Sync Battle” on Saturday night and “Dear Uge” on Sunday afternoon.
Lovi will be competing with friend Solenn Heussaff in “Lip Sync Battle”. They just had a successful concert at Music Museum, “Fantaesie”, where they did sexy numbers. “Magka-team kami roon and we used our own voices in the musical numbers,” says Lovi. “But in ‘Lip Sync Battle’ magkalaban kami at we’ll just lip sync the songs of other artists. We both prepared well para matalbugan ang isa’t isa kaya abangan nyo dahil pasabog ito.”
In “Lip Sync Battle” next week, the guest is Lovi’s friend, Heart Evangelista, who will be up against Rhian Ramos. Meantime, in “Dear Uge”, Lovi will try to do comedy in an episode entitled “The Full Sisters”. She and gay comedian Boobay will play the title roles of Rica (Lovi) and Jana (Boobay) who are sisters but can’t get along well with each other and are always fighting. Things will get complicated when they both fall in love with their boss (Migui Moreno). “I enjoyed doing the episode,” says Lovi. “Sobrang nakakatawa. And it’s nice working with Ms. Eugene Domingo who has a guest role in the episode. Riot ang ‘Full Sisters’ so don’t miss it.”
While waiting for her next teleserye, Lovi is also finishing all her scenes in the historical drama, “Lakambini”, where she plays the Gregoria de Jesus, the wife of Andres Bonifacio.
