DENNIS TRILLO is happy that all his naughty sexy scenes with Heart Evangelista in their new show, “Juan Happy Love Story”, have been approved without cuts by the MTRCB. “Kahit sexy kasi, light naman at hindi seryoso ang treatment sa eksena ni Direk L.A. Madridejos kaya hindi offensive ang dating,” he says.
“Talagang sa kabuuan, entertaining pa rin, kahit yung eksenang kunwari, pinaparusahan ni ako ni Heart at tinatanong ng ‘Sinong nanay mo?’ Riot yun. Actually, welcome break sa akin ang comedy na gaya nitong ‘Juan Happy Love Story’ kasi puro heavy dramas ang ginagawa ko, like yung last one, ‘My Faithful Husband’, na ang tindi ng drama. Dito, mas relaxed kami even sa set.”
As a certified chick magnet and womanizer, he is shown having love scenes not just with Heart but with various other women in “Juan Happy Love Story”. He plays a randy car salesman and he’s shown romancing a sexy prospective customer who he takes on a test drive. He meets a girl in a bar and takes her home, much to the chagrin of his scandalized grandma, played by Gloria Romero. His goal is always to score with any woman he fancies.
Has he done in real life the scenes that he did with his various partners in the show? “Yung iba, yes, nagawa ko na in real life. Pero hindi ko sasabihin which ones. Basta magugulat kayo. Mahilig akong mag-experiment, e. Ha ha ha! Yung character ko rito as Juan, I admit, ako yun, but five years ago, ha. Gusto niya, matikman lahat. But as of now, nagbagumbuhay na po ako. Mas mature na po ang pananaw ko sa buhay.”
Wasn’t he hesitant to do kissing scenes with his leading lady? “Siempre, noong una, naiilang ako kasi alam kong she’s married to Sen. Chiz Escudero. But she says okay lang and we’re both artists so we have to do what we have to do para sa ikagaganda ng eksena. Okay naman si Heart. Game siya and we’re both proud of our show.”
In real life, everyone knows he’s on again with Jennylyn Mercado. So how are they? “You know me, when it comes to personal relationships, I prefer na maging tahimik na lang talaga. Ever since, hindi ko naging ugali na ibulgar ang private life ko. Pareho kami ni Jen, gusto namin, tahimik lang. So ganun, mas tahimik, mas maganda. Hope you’ll understand and respect our decision.”
