Eddie Gutierrez Joins Cast Of 'The Story Of Us' While Annabelle Rama All Set To Join The Cabinet Of President Elect Rodrigo Duterte

EDDIE GUTIERREZ has just been added to the cast of ABS-CBN’s “The Story of Us”, which is now also being directed by top box office director Cathy Molina to help improve its ratings. He will play the role of a retired general in the U.S.A. who helps Xian Lim in his desire to legalize his stay in the States by helping him in an arranged marriage with an American woman, played by a Scottish actress. “Maganda yung role, semi-regular,” he says. “Nagpagupit nga ako ng buhok para bumagay sa role ko as a general.”

Meantime, his wife Annabelle Rama went to Davao a few days ago to meet with pres. elect Duterte. She said that he and Duterte first met in Cebu when he condoled with their family at the wake of her brother George who passed away a couple of years ago. The wife of Duterte’s son, Paulo, is a friend of hers and she’s the one who arranged for Annabelle to be able to visit the new president.

“Naku, ang daming naghihintay para makausap siya,” she says. “Daan-daan. I arrived at 7 PM, number 83 na ako. When I was finally received, 4 AM na. Hindi siya natutulog sa dami ng gustong makipag-appointment sa kanya. Natuwa naman siya nang makita ako. Hinahanap pa si Eddie, nasaan daw yung asawa ko. Tawa siya nang tawa habang nag-uusap kami in Bisaya. Sabi ko, ang kailangan niya sa cabinet niya, isang matapang na Bisaya. Sino raw yun? Sabi ko, di ako. Tawa siya nang tawa.”
So what position will she get in Digong’s new government? “Secret. Abangan nyo na lang.”
