How is it being paired with Kiray Celis? “Naabutan ko siya sa ABS, child star pa lang siya, kasi I’m 7 years older than her. So kuya ang tawag niya sa’kin. Dito sa movie namin, magkababata kami. E, nung una, medyo naiilang pa kami sa isa’t isa, so pinag-workshop kami ni Direk Miko Livelo para we’d be more comfortable we’d each other. Kasi ako ang patay na patay sa kanya rito at may kissing scenes pa kami. Naitawid naman namin, but I can feel na hindi siya ganun ka-at ease kasi ang projects naman niya before, hindi naman romantic stories. Paulit-ulit muna ang takes kasi hindi niya makuha nung una at parang maiiyak na siya, kasi hindi nga siya sanay. So, para hindi awkward ang eksena namin, I had to guide her and support her as her leading man. But I enjoyed working with her kasi magaling siyang artista. I’ve worked with the likes of Maja Salvador, Kim Chiu, Erich Gonzales, Julia Montes, at hindi siya pahuhuli sa kanila when it comes to acting. Bida siya rito sa movie namin and she steps up, she delivers naman. I also enjoyed working with Regal kasi everything is so organized. Pagdating mo sa set, everything is well prepared na and everyone is very professional.”
About his personal life, Enchong admits he has broken up with his girlfriend of two years, Fil-Brit model Samantha Lewis. “Maraming factors involved but basically sa’kin yung problema kasi ang dami kong trabaho. Marami kong inaasikaso as I also put up my own realty business and a restaurant, one in Megamall and soon, in UP Town Center. It’s for my future. E, ngayon, I have a new album, a new TV show with Bea Alonzo and itong movie pa. But we broke up naman as friends. We still communicate. She has plans of going to the United Kingdom and stay there na for good. I told her anytime she needs me, just let me know and I will be there.”
