JOEM BASCON considers it a big honor to be paired with Judy Ann Santos in the movie “Kusina”. “I made my very first appearance on TV ten years ago and it’s with Judy Ann in an episode of ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’ where I played her brother,” he says. “After that, nakasama ko siya sa soap na ‘Habang May Buhay’ with Derek Ramsay. Now, mag-asawa na kami rito sa ‘Kusina’ so nakakatuwa talaga. And she remains very humble, napakabait, easy to work with. Sa story, we will fall out love kasi magiging sobrang busy ako sa trabaho and makaka-affair niya ang best friend ko, si Luis Alandy. Mahaba yung journey ng characters dito kasi it will start in the 1960s at tatanda pa kami.”
Joem was last seen on TV in “Pangako Sa’Yo”. “Now, puro movies muna ang ginagawa ko. I did the horror film ‘Tulay ng San Sebastian’ with Sandino Martin, the drama about gold miners ‘Oro’ with Irma Adlawan, ‘EDSA’ na riding in tandem holduppers kami ni Aljur Abrenica and latest yung sex-dramang ‘Siphayo’ with Natalie Hart and Luis Alandy, for Direk Joel Lamangan. Basta work lang ako nang work.”
