Rita is so lucky because right after “Hanggang Makita Kang Muli” ends a couple of weeks from now (to be replaced by “Sinungaling Mong Puso” starring Rhian Ramos and Rafael Rosell), she’d quickly move over the bakod as part of a new drama series on ABS-CBN, “Never Ever Say Goodbye” with Jericho Rosales, John Estrada and Arci Munoz, produced by Ruel Bayani and directed by her own husband, FM Reyes.
Meantime, Rita is happy that her children’s book, “The Invisible Wings”, has been made into a musical, with an English and Tagalog version. The Tagalog version is entitled “Ang Hindi Nakikitang Pakpak”. This will be shown at St. Scholastica Manila’s St. Cecilia’s Hall for two weekends in August: 18 to 21 and 25 to 28, directed by Tuqs Rutaquio. This will be shown three times a day at 9 AM, 1 PM and 3:30 PM, with tickets at P350. After two children’s books, Rita has also written her first romantic novel, “Wanna Bet on Love”, to be released this year.
As for “Hanggang Makita Kang Muli”, she remains missing as Glenda, the mother of Derrick Monasterio as Calvin. Somehow, she manages to escape from where Ina Feleo as Odessa has held her captive but she has an injury so she cannot move fast. She sees Derrick with Bea Binene as Ana but they don’t see her. Instead, Odessa catches up with her and shoots her. Odessa leaves thinking Rita is dead but someone rescues her and takes her to the hospital where doctors try to save her. Derrick thinks it’s his dad, Ramon Christopher as Francis, who did this to his mom and has an emotional confrontation with his own father.
