Derrick Monasterio Rejoices That His Self Titled Debut Album Is Now No. 2 In Record Charts Nationwide

DERRICK MONASTERIO is one young actor who deserves to be in the Most Beautiful Stars list of Yes Magazine. He attended its launch and most writers present who saw him believe he deserves to be built up as a top leading man and wish GMA would give him better projects. Right now, Derrick is so glad that his self-titled album with GMA Records is now number 2 in record charts nationwide. “Nagpapasalamat talaga ako sa lahat ng bumili ng first album ko and my prayer now is maka-gold status na sana ako,” he says.


But Derrick is sad that his afternoon soap with Bea Binene, “Hanggang Makita Kang Muli”, is ending this afternoon. “Umabot din kami ng 17 weeks and it’s good while it lasted. I love my role here as Calvin na siyang tumulong kay Bea as a feral child na lumaking parang aso. Dahil sa akin, natuto siyang magtiwala sa tao. Calvin has a kind heart, even to animals and viewers tell me na dahil kay Calvin, naging mas mahabagin at mabait sila hindi lang sa hayup kundi maging sa kanilang kapwa tao.
