“Sa last show ko, support lang ako kina Barbie Forteza and Andre Paras in ‘That’s My Amboy’,” he says. “Now, I play one of the leads na and this is my most challenging role so far. When the original movie was shown in 1992, di pa ako napapanganak kasi 1995 when I was born. But I’ve seen it on TV and I know award-winner yun.”
So how did he get the Aga role? “Nag-audition ako. Lakasan ng loob. I never really expected na ako ang makukuha. Ngayon, feeling ko, napakasuwerte kong ako ang napili as Jason. Partner ko rito si Jazz Ocampo pero magkakarelasyon kami ni Ms. Rhian Ramos in the story, who’s married naman to Rafael Rosell. She is so beautiful. It’s an honor na makatrabaho ko siya rito. Nag-acting workshop na kami rito, pati familiarity workshop and we became closer to our characters and sa other members ng cast, which include my own mom (Cheska Diaz), plus Michael de Mesa, Glydel Mercado, Sherylyn Reyes, JC Tiuseco, Gab de Leon, Gee Canlas and Stephanie Sol, directed by Tito Ricky Davao.”
Rhian and he are supposed to have sexy love scenes in the story. Is he ready? “Yes, I’m really preparing myself for more mature roles. I’m working out now, eating healthy, everyday. I know it’s also good for my health and I’m so happy. I promise to do my best here para hindi ako mapahiya sa mga nagtiwala sa akin sa ibinigay nilang biggest break kong ito.”
