Her movie is Regal Entertainment’s “The Escort”, where she figures in a love triangle with Christopher de Leon and Derek Ramsay, directed by Enzo Williams of “Bonifacio: Unang Pangulo”. They’re shooting this on location in Kandaya Resort in Cebu and she figures in hot love scenes with Derek, with whom she is paired for the very first time.
Her new drama program is “Someone To Watch Over Me”, to be helmed by Maryo de los Reyes. This will start airing in August to replace “Once Again” and she is paired also for the first time with Tom Rodriguez. In the story, her husband Tom contracts early onset Alzheimer’s disease and no longer remember her, his wife, but his first girlfriend, played by Max Collins.
“I’m really so thankful that ang gaganda ng projects na napunta sa akin, both on the big and small screen,” says Lovi. “Just the thought that they’re trusting me with very challenging roles and material is already satisfying and I promise to give my best to make these projects really worth viewing.”
Did she have any hesitation in doing sexy scenes with Derek with her in a revealing swimsuit? Their video showing them kissing each other already has 60,000 suits and viewers say they’re “kinikilig”. “It’s fun to work with Derek kasi naging comfortable ako agad sa kanya, kami sa isa’t isa. Before the love scenes, nagkausap na kami nang matagal on our way to Cebu. He’s smart, good conversationalist, so by the time pinagawa kami ng kissing scenes relaxed na ako in his company.”
