At the presscon, writers were asking her if she’s going sexy in her role, which was originally played by Vilma Santos in the 1992 movie. Honestly, such questions would be quite pointless since this is an afternoon show and we all know a show that can be seen by kids in a non-prime time slot will necessarily be limited in what they can expose. But Rhian tries to humor them when asked if she’s willing to be more daring.
“I’ve been preparing mentally for it, just in case Direk Ricky will require us to do daring love scenes,” she says. “Since I got back from Europe after attending the wedding of Solenn Heussaff, I’ve been running and dieting to keep myself in shape.”
But she just did sexy poses in the July issue of FHM and she came out number 5 in their Sexiest Women’s list. “Yes, but may nagrereklamo nga, kasi harang daw. I was in a two-piece swimsuit but I was covering certain areas with a fur coat. I was only 17 when they first offered me to be on the cover. But I said no. Now, 7 years later, natuloy rin. Honestly I loved the way the pictorial came out. It came out better than the original plan. Nagre-branding din kasi ang magazine and they’re going to a new direction. More intelligent articles, less sex. In ‘Sinungaling Mong Puso’, it’s not really a question naman of kaya ko ba or how much I’m willing to show and bare. Some folks might compare her with Ate Vi. “I know, which is why it’s very intimidating for me na tanggapin itong project na ito kasi hindi naman ako Vilma Santos. It's unfair to compare us kasi alam ko that I can never fill in her shoes. But she does it in her own way and I will also play the role in my own way. Hindi kailangang mapantayan ko kasi yung original skeleton lang ng story ang kinuha at marami ring iibahin sa TV remake dahil 16 weeks ito tatakbo on the air, compared to a movie that runs for only two hours.”
As for her love life, she admits being on with top racer Jason Choachuy but she doesn’t want to talk about him since he’s a private person.
