KATRINA HALILI is the first sexy star to have won as FHM’s Sexiest Woman two years in a row. How does she feel now that others have taken over since then? “Naku, okay na yun,” she tells on the set of “Sa Piling ni Nanay”. “At least, naranasan ko na, napagdaanan ko na. Been there, done that. Hayaan nyo na naman sa iba. Isa pa, nanay na ako, e. Iba na ang buhay ko. Ang saya-saya pala maging nanay. Magpo-four years old na ang anak kong si Katie sa September and she really changed my life for the better. When I’m tired from taping all day or all night, masarap ang pakiramdam kapag nakita ko na siya. Nawawala ang pagod ko.”
Who takes care of her baby when she’s out working? “May relatives ako from Palawan who live with me. Dito sila nag-aaral sa Maynila, so they help me look after Katy kapag may taping ako. Kaya palagay ang loob ko kasi alam kong mapagtitiwalaan ang mga pinag-iiwanan ko sa anak ko dahil mga kamag-anak namin sila.”
She remains loveless after she broke up with Katie’s dad, singer Kris Lawrence. “We remain friends pa rin naman and he helps me in bringing up Katie, pero hanggang doon na lang. May bago na siyang girlfriend, a nurse. So hayaan na natin siya.”
Her co-star in “Sa Piling ni Nanay”, Yasmien Kurdi, tells Katrina that her husband, Rey Soldevilla, a Cebu Pac pilot, has plenty of pilot friends who are looking for a girlfriend. “Kung gusto mo, ipapakilala ka namin,” adds Yas.
“Naku, hindi naman ako naghahanap ng love life at this point,” says Katrina. “Basta kung may kusang dumating, di sige. Pero kung may ipapakilala ka, di sige, tingnan natin.”
This week, Katrina as Scarlet in "Sa Piling ni Nanay" once again gets the chance to slap Yasmien as Isabel several times. Katrina and Mark Herras as Jonas succeed in getting the child Sofia Cabatay as Maya from Yasmien and Katrina is so angry with Yasmien so she slaps her repeatedly. Nova Villa as Donya Matilda also gets to slap Yasmien. But Maya is in the hands of the evil Antonio Aquitania as Rod who tells Mark and Katrina that they will give Maya back to them if he'd get Yasmien plus ransom money in exchange. But the cops arrive and Rod escapes without being able to get the money. Katrina and Mark take Maya home while Yasmien is arrested by the cops. With the help of a lawyer, Yasmien is freed. Maya is about to be taken abroad by Katrina, Nova and Mark but they were stopped at the airport as there is a hold departure order for them.
