The Most Beautiful Stars issue started in 2007 with Judy Ann Santos on the cover. This was followed by KC Concepcion in 2008, Marian Rivera in 2009, Kim Chiu in 2010, John Lloyd Cruz in 2011, Anne Curtis in 2012, Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo in 2013, Sarah Geronimo in 2014 and Kris Aquino last year. Alden says he’s been part of the Most Beautiful Stars for the past 6 years.
“Ang dream ko, malagay rin ako sa cover,” he says. “At ngayon, heto nagkatotoo na. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na kami ni Maine ang nasa cover. It’s a humbling experience kasi when we started a year ago, wala ni sa hinagap namin na mangyayari ito. Simple lang kami. We didn’t ask for it, pero ibinigay, and for that, we consider it a really big honor.”
“I’m even more excited,” says Maine. “Kasi first year ko pa lang in showbiz and first time ko rin na mapasama in this list tapos, nasa cover pa. Parang hindi pa nagsi-sink in sa akin nang husto, but marami pong salamat sa lahat ng pumili sa amin ni Alden.”

Getting solo spots are Coco Martin as Primetime King, John Arcilla as The Idol, Gloria Romero as The Icon, Martin Nievera sa OPM Icon, Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach as Person of the Year and Cannes Filmfest best actress Jaclyn Jose in a special category, In a League All Her Own. The rest of the 100 stars are in categories like TV Princes and Princesses, Comic Stalwarts, Acting Bet, Dreamboat, Sirens, Tomorrow’s Bets, Eternal Heartthrobs and Hot Mama.
