DENNIS TRILLO is both sad and happy that his hit soap on GMA primetime, “Juan Happy Love Story”, is ending this week. “Sad kasi nage-enjoy kaming lahat sa cast while we are taping this, mas nakilala ko si Heart Evangelista nang mas mabuti dahil dito, e,” he says. “Masaya siyang katrabaho dahil kahit pagod na, naka-smile pa rin. Maraming scenes kami rito, lalo yung naughty scenes pero nakakatawa, ngayon ko lang nagawa kasi laging heavy drama ang ginagawa ko. Sa sobrang saya namin sa taping, ni hindi namin namalayang naka-16 weeks na pala kami. Parang ang bilis natapos. But happy kami kasi talagang sinundan kami ng viewers every night. Mataas ang ratings, nagte-trending every night at nagko-comment ang viewers sa social media habang nanonood sila. Marami kasing situations tungkol sa mag-asawa na nakaka-relate sila. Yung character ko rito, si Juan, kahit may kasalanan siya, inaamin niya and he tries to correct yung mga kamalian niya. Happy rin ako kasi magiging mas less hectic na ang schedule ko. Sa ngayon kasi, nagte-taping ako rito at nagsu-shooting din ng movie namin ni Anne Curtis na ‘Bakit Lahat ng Guwapo, May Boyfriend?’ So now, I have more time to rest naman.”
There’s talk that since Alden Richards cannot be paired with Jennylyn Mercado in “My Love from the Star”, he’s now being considered for the lead role in this Koreanovela adaptation. Would he like to work with his inamorata for this show?
“I don’t know. Wala namang sinasabi sa’kin, e. What I learned is nagpapa-audition raw sila ng bagong makakapareha ni Jen. Pero kung io-offer ba sa’kin, why not? Di subukan natin.”
Be sure not to miss the final episodes of “Juan Happy Love Story” because there will be some surprises. For one thing, the orphaned child Katkat, adopted by Dennis as Juan and Heart as Happy, will grow up and write a book about the love story of her adoptive parents.
