Jake Vargas Excited To Be Paired With Janice De Belen's Daughter, Inah, In New Soap, 'Oh My Mama'

JAKE VARGAS has one of the most good-looking faces among our male celebs. He’s already 24 but still can pass for a teenager. He also sings well and can act quite persuasively. His drawback is his being vertically challenged at 5’4”, but he can still be paired with not so tall actresses, like his latest partner in “Oh My Mama” that starts airing on September 19, Inah de Belen, the daughter of Janice de Belen. Inah is less than 5 feet tall, so they’re perfect for each other since they’re both cute and petite.

Jake is currently loveless. After he broke up with Bea Binene last year, he admits he had a non-showbiz girlfriend for a while. But now, he’d rather be unattached and will just focus on his career. “I have to work for my family,” he says. “Sa akin kasi sila umaasa. Kaya wala munang ligaw-ligaw para hindi ako ma-distract, lalo na ngayon, marami akong trabaho.”


He’ll be performing with Derrick Monasterio, Aljur Abrenica and Rocco Nacino in the Music Museum concert, “Oh Boy”, on September 23. This early, he already declares that he won’t be disrobing like the other guys who are all buff. “Wala akong six pack abs na gaya nila,” he says. “Kakanta na lang ako and play the guitar. Kanya-kanya kaming role sa isang sexy segment ng show. Ako yung pizza delivery boy. Pero hindi ako magtatanggal ng shirt.”

So how does he find his new ka-love team Inah de Belen? “Okay siya, mabait. We’re not yet close so di pa kami nakakapag-bonding. Siguro, sa taping, doon kami magkakakilala nang husto. Sana maging close nga kami.”
