“Most of my scenes are with Tom kasi we play husband and wife,” says Lovi. “Nagkasama na kami before in a movie, ‘Temptation Island’, pero hindi kami ang magkapareha. It was shot in Laoag sa sand dunes of Paoay at ito namang ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’ is partly shot in Vigan. It’s nice to work with Tom kasi napakahusay niyang aktor at masarap laging kaeksena. I’m also pleased with the story kasi naiiba naman. When he gets sick, nawala ang memory niya about me, his wife, at ang naaalala lang niya is his former girlfriend, si Max.”
“Someone to Watch Over Me” will start airing on September 5, replacing “Juan Happy Love Story”. Directed by Maryo de los Reyes, it also stars Edu Manzano as Tom’s dad, Jackielou Blanco as Tom’s stepmom, Ronnie Lazaro and Isay Alvarez as the parents of Lovi, Boy2 Quizon as Tom’s best friend, Frances Makil as Lovi’s best friend and newcomer Ralph Noriega as Lovi’s brother.
Lovi says she remains loveless after her breakup with Rocco Nacino. It seems she’s the one who ended their love affair since Rocco said at the “Oh Boy” presscon that he really felt so hurt when it happened. He added that he still has so many questions about it and he feels there was no formal closure. “Rocco is a very good guy. But ako, bilang tao, I feel na hindi pa ako complete as an individual. We still have to work on ourselves. There are some things that I still have to figure out on my own. Right now, I just want to enjoy being on my own.”
But she was seen with a foreigner she met in Europe when she attended the wedding of her friend Solenn Heussaff. The guy even followed her here in Manila?
“He’s just a friend. Dumalaw siya rito so I toured him around, but we don’t have a relationship. I don’t have the time kasi aside from ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’, I’m still shooting for my new movie with Regal, ‘The Escort’, kasama ko sina Derek Ramsay, Christopher de Leon and Jean Garcia. Sa September na raw ang playdate nito.”
