JOEM BASCON delivers a riveting performance in “Siphayo” as the youngest son of Maria Isabel Lopez and Allan Paule who is portrayed as a weakling and cries a lot. He hates doing farm work when their family relies on his father’s farm for their livelihood. But don’t be deceived by his “good boy” projection as he is really a wolf in sheep’s clothing with his own hidden motives.
“Maganda talaga yung role, naiiba ang challenge, kaya tinanggap ko ang ‘Siphayo’ that opens today sa mga sinahan. Hindi ako nagdalawang-loob kahit may requirements na may nude love scene ako with Nathalie Hart,” he says at the film’s preview at Fisher Mall. “At ngayong napanood ko na ang buong movie, I’m happy with the results. Maganda ang kinalabasan.”
Oo nga, we tell him. Masamang tao ka pala. After “Siphayo”, Joem will also be seen in the movie “Kusina” that opens on November 9 where he plays the husband of Judy Ann Santos.
